General Update
Various changes have occured since my last update, not least being that I have now reached the grand old age of 50! Thanks to all who gave pressies and good wishes.
We now also have a Coalition Government, who have indicated that they will abolish the Financial Services Authority. Whether this will affect general insurance premiums etc. is not yet clear, but if they simplify how business is conducted, it can only be good for brokers and customers alike.
Finally, one thing that has happened which appears to be affecting premiums is that the SK13 8 and 7 post codes appear to have been placed on a "flood plain" by several insurers. However, as many of you are aware, we deal with several insurers for Household Insurance and, as all of them haven't taken this action, it is hoped, by re broking, we should be able to maintain our low premiums!
