Commercial Property Owners

This is very similar to some of the “Packaged” policies and is designed for Customers who own, and rent out Commercial Properties. If you own AND work from a specific property there are other policies that would be more suitable for you.

The cover provided normally covers the building, and can include accidental damage, contents in communal areas, loss of rent and public liability insurance (normally for around £2,000,000). Some policies also cover Employers Liability and Terrorist Acts, although these are not normally compulsory.

Most Commercial Insurers will accommodate 5 properties as standard on a Commercial Property Owners Policy. However, if you own more properties than this, there are several insurers who are very happy to quote. However, a word of warning- Property Portfolio’s normally take at least 3 days to obtain all the quotations on.
